What makes a Blueberry Pig?

We believe in positive change.

That’s why we set out to produce the best quality pork meat possible. We pair skilled farmers with a set of rules on how to breed Blueberry Pigs. This results is a natural product to be proud of where the animal, the farmer and the customer shares the win.

Where it started

The first Blueberry Pigs were born at the Torstveit farm where land has been cultivated for over 400 years. This area is famous for its rich forest land. A perfect habitat for free-ranging animals. The region is known for its fresh air, low pollution, and great condition for organic farming. Now, more farmers are joining in as Blueberry Pig has become franchise system for Norwegian Pig Farmers. This way we can ensure the capacity needed for delivery.

Our animals eat a varied diet of grass, herbs, roots, blueberries, and blueberry bushes. Hence the name BlueberryPig. Blueberries are especially rich in antioxidants, which can delay some types of cell damage in our bodies. A healthier pig means healthier meat. Which means a healthier consumer.
